It's never late to enjoy...

We celebrate the arrival of 2012 with guests from New York. And we spent the first day of the year at the San Diego Zoo (check here), enjoying the opportunity to spread some rocks, of course.

To my surprise, today I received a message from a person who was handed one of this rocks at his work this morning.

"I'm going to take it to Chicago and leave it in the airport. Maybe we'll see where this can go!  Max".

Actually this is not the "hope rock" that Victoria found. But as he didn't send a picture I picked up this one just to illustrate the story.

Sharing love

Rather than just theorizing about love, what about sharing it with others in some way? That's how we spent this Sunday: spreading love messages throughout downtown San Diego.

Thanks for giving hope!

"Found the "hope"rock this weekend at the Hot Dog on a Stick in Encinitas. So excited to show my friends at school tomorrow. Thanks for giving hope, guys!!. "Victoria Z.

Just relax...

Isn't Amanda a princess?

Some messages really touch our hearts and are a great incentive to devote ourselves more and more to Word Rocks. Like the one I received today from Jodi Elliot.

"We found one of your rocks on Wednesday at UTC mall in La Jolla. I was complaining to my two littles about how much they were misbehaving while shopping and all of a sudden my 5 year old and I spot something reflecting on a bench. She reaches out to grab it and it says "Relax". I look over my shoulder with a guilty feeling thinking surely someone put this there just for me! It was exactly what I needed to hear at that exact moment! It reminded me that I need to just take a breath and let that moment pass by so I can be happier in the NOW and not dwell on what is frustrating me. Thank you for your gift of words, I will surely pass this on. We live in Murrieta, CA so it will be interesting to see where it ends up next "

Be happy!

Victor and Bia with "be happy" rock

My valuable volunteer Val is doing a great job preparing rocks and spreading them in different cities of Orange County. And today one of them was found, close to a bank in Torrey Hills area, in San Diego. "Thank you for the rock! The kids loved it!, wrote Daniela Carvalho, mother of the two beauties in the pic. And to make things more interesting, they are from Brazil, like us ( I like your soccer jersey, Victor!).

And Val is very glad to know that the kids liked the rock: "Look at those happy children; makes me happy to see such big smiles".

There is no one alive who is youer than you.

'Today you are You, that is truer than true',  by Dr. Seuss
We love this Dr. Seuss quote. And this is the inspiration we hoped to bring with this rock found by A. I., a nine-year old girl.

"I found a rock with glitter glue on it at my church. It said BE YOU. This summer, after school (I'm 9 ), I'm going to London, and I plan to bring the stone I found with me, and make a couple more while I'm there. Word Rocks are traveling to another country."
Isn't she lovely?!

Hope is the last to die

Beautiful word!

One oh the most beautiful words in the vocabulary: hope!

This was the rock found by Shannon Rae today.

"Found a rock that said "hope" outside a medical center on El Camino Real,  San Diego! I will make some more, & spread the thought!
