If you find a rock....

In 2011, while walking by the ocean in San Diego, I decided to collect some beautiful rocks. My plan was to write positive words on them and place them around the house for inspiration.

When my ten-year-old son came home from school and saw the rocks, he said, "These are too cool to keep at home. Instead of keeping them, let's spread them around San Diego so more people can find them and be happy. Maybe someone will find the right word at the right time and feel better."

That's how our Word Rocks Project began.

I can't help but feel proud of having a son who thinks about sharing and bringing positivity to others.

Since then, we've loved sharing these words wherever we go. At movie theaters, parks, supermarkets, gas stations, bookstores, libraries, school gates, cafeteria tables, park benches—our goal is for the right word to reach the right person at the right time. Inspiration is our guiding principle.

When we receive an email from someone who found one of the stones, we celebrate. It's wonderful to know that the right word has found its way to the right person at the right time. It warms our hearts to realize this project connects us with so many different people.

I'm grateful to have my son as a partner in this endeavor, sharing the joy of spreading these inspiring words. Word rocks!

P.S. If you find one of our rocks, please send us a picture! We'd love to know where the rocks end up after we leave them.

What you do with the rock is up to you. You can keep it, give it to someone you love, or place it somewhere else for someone else to find.

The most important thing is that the rock brings positivity, inspiration, or happiness to someone!
