Neon colors to celebrate Summer

Neon colors are a perfect match for the vibrant California summer ahead. To make these colors pop even more, use a black background on the rocks!

Supplies used

• Neon dimensional paint
• Black paint 
• Rainbow brush set
• Heat tool (optional)
• 4B pencil (optional)

Directions:

(The two colors of acrylic paint I use most often are white and black because they make great background colors. I always recommend keeping a larger supply of these colors at home).

Start by applying a layer of black paint and allowing it to dry completely. If the coverage is solid, proceed to the next step. If the coverage isn't sufficient, apply a second layer of black paint and let it dry thoroughly before continuing. Allow it to dry completely or use a heat tool to speed up the process.

Using a very soft pencil (I prefer 4B), sketch the words or image you plan to enhance with puffy paint.

Once your sketch is complete, trace over it with dimensional paint.
