Want to brighten someone’s day in the most unexpected way? Here’s a simple and sweet DIY to create an origami heart to leave somewhere special — just like we did for this #KindnessDrop with The Word Rocks Project + Love it Forward List!
✨ YOU’LL NEED:
(affiliate links for your convenience)
- ✂️ Scissors
- π Origami paper
- π️ Optional: Sharpie for messages
- π Clear tape
π HOW TO MAKE YOUR HEART:
-
Fold your origami paper in half and cut along the fold — now you have two rectangular pieces.
-
Take one rectangle and fold it in half lengthwise (like a hot dog!).
-
Fold it in half again, then unfold. You’ll see a crease in the center.
-
Fold each side up toward that center crease.
-
Fold down the top corners to start forming the rounded heart shape.
-
Tuck in the little corners at the top to round it out.
-
Flip it over — and ta-da! You’ve got a lovely origami heart. π
πThen… go outside and leave it somewhere magical — on a tree, by a bench, on a window — for someone to discover.
