Monster Rocks for Halloween

This is my first collaboration with my neighbor Chris Lustig who happens to be part of Silhouette Design Team. How awesome is to have a talented neighbor like her who loves to craft as much as you?

It was so cool to see my rock monsters come to life as Halloween free art while she came up with cute flag printables for our fun creatures to hold.

Rock Monster Supplies (Affiliate links provided for your convenience)
  • Rocks
  • Spray Paint (I used Testors)
  • American Craft Chalkboard Paint
  • Posca Pens to draw faces

You'll need at least two layers of spray paint for each rock. Spray paint takes time to get dry but you can make the process faster using a heat tool. Believe me, this tool is one of the best investments ever!

I love this Chalkboard paint. It's very thick, dense and gets dry very fast. Only one layer is enough.

Those cheap googley eyes  can be glued with ModPodge or any other kind of adhesive. You can also use Eye Sticker labels if you wanna make things easier.

The best pens to draw the rest of the faces are Posca fine point (set of 8 or set of 15)

Now visit my neighbor's website to get the tiny flags free printables and make your Halloween rock: Studio Xtine.
