Thank you, neighbors!

Christmas is coming and the neighbors already began to
decorate their houses with the more beautiful lights in the world!
So I decided to thank them by putting in their mailboxes a word rock with a note of thanks.
And so the Christmas spirit has begun to touch the hearts of a lot of people. ♥

Joy rock found!

One more word rock handmade by volunteer Val was found yesterday in San Diego!

"My 6 year old daughter found this rock at our apartment building. It totally made her joyful! She thought she had found the holy grail of rocks, lol!", Craig Stuart.

On the next day, Lorelei's mom, Annie Kate, left this beautiful  and touching message for us:

"My daughter Lorelei is the one that found this rock, and I had no idea that my husband had sent in the picture until he told me the name of this website. When I walked in our house after work yesterday the first and only thing Lorelei wanted to tell me about was the special rock she found. The idea, time, effort and heart that you all put into this is amazing. And it was nice to be reminded that there are people that care and are willing to share all of this with complete strangers. Thank you so very much! You made my daughter's day and as a Mom, that makes me eternally grateful to everyone involved!"

We are back

I've been very quiet about Word Rocks lately, since an incident happened three weeks ago.

I left six rocks in the neighborhood with a "pick up as needed" sign. Two teenagers took all of them. My Pollyana thought was "wow, how great to see "big boys" interested in this kind of thing. Probably they will share with family and friends".

But the truth came on the next day. I was walking with my pup

py and found the rocks partially destroyed behind some bushes across the place I left them. I was SO disappointed!!! How can someone destroy other people's ideas, hopes, love, dreams or whatever?!

But today we are back, with more enthusiasm than ever. For each rock someone is able to destroy we will plant hundred more to spread love around! ♥
