WordRocks! in PUC - Rio

PUC - Rio is considered one of the best universities in the country and, I was very happy both times I had the pleasure to be one of its students. First, when I graduated  in Engineering and a couple of years later, in Journalism.
So it was a huge emotion to read the beautiful article that was published today on their website about our project.
Thanks dear Itala (editorand thanks Ligia (reporter). What a great and beautiful gift you both give me today with this beautiful article!

And for those who read in Portuguesehere is the link for the article.

Around the world

From Brazil to France and back to Brazil!

There are things that have no explanation. Last week, my friend Berê from Rio de Janeiro was vacationing in London and in Paris and placed a couple of rocks there. Another brazilian, Eduardo Dias, was also on vacation in Europe and was the one to found one of her rocks!
Isn't it amazing?
"It was there near the Louvre Museum", he wrote me. Eduardo thinks that this is "really a cool project" and he'll place a rock in his city too.

And as I LOVE a love story, here is more to go: my friend Berê prepared the rocks in a coffee shop in charming Notting Hill, London. That's when Robert Sayer was delighted by it. He really became interested in the rocks, and even more in my friend. And soon they began a romance. Love this!

Rocks in Paris

After London, my friend Berê (read here) spent a day in the City of Light, beautiful Paris. And keeping her promise, she placed a couple of rocks there. The City of Love. Ville de l'amour. Merci, Berê, for enjoying the idea of sharing positive words with other people, and for taking the rocks to places as far and as beautiful as London and Paris.

Beautiful Paris

Sparkling love

"A real love is rock solid", says Joanna

Joanna Floribus was walking across the street from her work when something sparkled and caught her eyes.

It was a LOVE rock! Here are the beautiful words that came from her heart:

"How unique and perfectly timed. There are times in your life when you are disillusioned with love, you think that it's not worth it or it's not for you, or maybe you are just not capable.

A real love is rock solid, and it takes some real hard work to get there. And then just like that you can happen on it at the most perfect times... just like this rock I discovered.
Absolutely made my dayI will be placing a couple in some very special locations.
Thank you!"

London, London

Word rocks at Abbey Road
A few weeks ago, Berê, my good friend from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, made me a promise while sharing her vacation plans with me: to place a rock at Abbey Road in London, England.

And she did it! This morning I received some pictures and I was overjoyed to realize that a rock was placed nearby the road immortalized by the Beatles on the Abbey Road album.

Tomorrow she is heading to Paris, France and, guess what, she'll place a rock there too!

"It made my day!"

"I love the idea!"

Kate, 10 years old, was so happy when she found JOY rock at Vons in Torrey Hills.  At first she was kind of confused but then her mom _ who had already read about our project on the newspaper (here) _ explained what it was all about.  "I was so happy and it made my day. Who finds a rock with words on it everyday?! I hadn't even heard about the project and my mom explained it to me. I LOVE the idea!

And Kate really loved the idea. Now she is preparing rocks in partnership with us. Way to go, Kate!

Word Rocks in Portugal !

Word Rocks on the Portuguese news

In 1500, a portuguese explorer and navigator, Pedro Álvares Cabral, arrived in my warm Brazil. One of our legacies from this fact is we're the only country in South America that speaks Portuguese instead of Spanish. So it was a pleasure to be interviewed by Publico, a Portuguese daily national newspaper. If you want to check the online article click here.

Word Rocks in Philippines

Never mind rock

In Brazil there is a very popular sentence that means "who has friends has luck".
Our amazing friends Joel and Monica were in Philippines last week and left some of our rocks at the beautiful beaches there.
Thanks, guys! We are lucky to have you as friends here in San Diego!
You rock!
